Dangers of chicken pox

I didn’t realise till half way through my daughter’s chicken pox, aged 2, that there was a vaccine for it. It made me wonder why do we not immunise children in the UK against it? What is the purpose of letting our kids suffer so much for really, no reason?

I set out to find out more about the complications that can arise from the virus, speak to parents whose children had terrible experiences during chicken pox, and hear from experts on why the US and many EU countries vaccinate against chicken pox as standard, and the UK doesn’t.
