Forced adoption heartbreak

Carol, now in her 70s, was just 17 and unmarried when she fell pregnant. She was desperate to keep her little girl but she simply was not allowed.

She named her beautiful daughter Adelaine, and for six weeks, nursed, soothed and cared for her. Then, Adelaine was forcibly taken from her aching arms and adopted.
