Doctors wrote Kennedy off

Doctors told Renee her newborn daughter was better of in an institution, and she should focus her energy on her other children. But when a kindly nurse told Renee her teenager daughter also had Down’s Syndrome, and was living a fabulous and full life, with friends, school and hobbies like any other teenager, Renee felt hope in her heart.

And 16 years later, Kennedy proved those hospital doctors wrong, becoming a model, loving her cheer squad duties and her lovely boyfriend.

Here, Renee shares her family and Kennedy’s moving journey with the world in Metro.

I placed their story in Metro, Mail, Take a Break and Take 5 (Australia).
